This is a 240GSM cotton waffle-knit henley with a three-button placket, made to order for menswear and loungewear labels. The grid structure traps air, so it wears warmer than its weight suggests while staying light enough to layer. Minimum order is 100 pieces per colour, sampling takes 7–10 days, bulk runs 25–35 days, with your own labels and buttons included.

The body shape is set, but the details that decide your retail price are all open:
The waffle henley sells in three distinct channels, and each one buys it differently. Menswear labels use it as a transitional piece — heavy enough for autumn, light enough to wear under a jacket — and typically order two or three colours per drop. Loungewear and sleepwear brands pair it with a matching jogger or short, treating it as a set rather than a standalone top. Promotional and corporate programmes order it for autumn gifting, where a mid-weight thermal reads as more considered than a basic tee at a similar cost.
It also works as a layering piece for outdoor and workwear-adjacent labels, because the grid traps warmth without bulk under a shell.
Is 240GSM warm enough to sell as a thermal?
Yes. Waffle structure insulates better than flat jersey at the same weight because the grid traps air; 240GSM waffle wears close to a 300GSM jersey in warmth while staying much lighter.
Will the waffle pattern distort after washing?
Not if the fabric is pre-shrunk and the garment is washed cold. We confirm shrinkage on bulk fabric at ≤3% after three washes; the grid recovers its shape because the structure is knit in, not printed.
What is the minimum order?
100 pieces per colour per style. Sizes split freely across S–3XL, and each additional colour is a separate dye run.
Can you make it in a women's fit?
Yes. The same fabric and placket run in a tapered women's block with a shorter body; send your size chart and we will grade from it.
Do you have this weight in a heavier version?
Yes — 300GSM waffle is available for a denser hand, though it costs more and adds roughly a week to fabric lead time.
Can the placket be a different colour from the body?
Yes, contrast plackets are common on this style. Specify the placket colour separately and we will dip both in the same lab dip round.
How do you handle embroidery on waffle knit?
We add a backing film behind the stitch area so the logo does not sink into the grid. Without it, fine lettering fills in and the embroidery reads muddy.
Send your artwork, size chart and target quantity, and we will come back with pricing, fabric options and a sampling schedule — usually within one working day. See the rest of our custom knit tops range, compare sleep and lounge sets on the loungewear programme, or contact us here to open a project.
